EMTHEATRE is dedicated to the creation, production and distribution of live shows, as well as the development of educational activities. Its art direction is entrusted to Eleonora Marino  actress, director, artist and lecturer at the University of Sorbonne Nouvelle.
The company uses various forms of artistic expression: theatre, dance, video creation, music creation, art installations, happenings, performances ... It places itself at the heart of artistic interaction with the audience and its surroundings through actions on the thin line between the sensory and intercultural. Our multidisciplinary projects, sometimes «in situ», become richer over time, integrating themselves in the various architectures where they take place and are open to all sorts of audiences.

Since the start in 2006, EMTHEATRE has been developing the multidisciplinary project "Cooking – the journey" programmed in France, Italy, and Romania. Since 2010, we have been working on the new project « Du grain à moudre ».

The company explores the stage and the space as a place of searching, discovery, reflection, which allows us to explore our environment in real time. The individual dimension reaches the universal one.
Cultural identity, crossbreeding, memory and (re) discovery of roots are among the topics explored. With an ironic and poetic approach, EMTHEATRE translates both the grotesque and surreal aspects of life and the cohabitation of the sacred and the profane.

The Company works in partnership with a number of institutions, theatres, museums, festivals, cultural and social centres, associations ...
